Alanda Club Marbella is situated midway between Fuengirola and Marbella on the Sitio de Calahonda urbanisation in the heart of the Costa del Sol. There are numerous facilities available on site for guests. Its central location makes day-trips possible to Gibraltar, Morocco, Granada and many other places. The marble floored lobby is decorated with panels of dark wood, marble pillars and wrought iron and mahogany furnishings. A giant coloured glass lantern hangs from the high-beamed ceiling as golfers, couples and families pass through the tranquil Andalusian space. The exposed brick archways in the lounge flank a large fireplace and lead to a pretty outdoor terrace overlooking the pool. A central courtyard contains a large lagoon pool and sun terraces furnished with loungers and parasols. The hotel has a fine dining restaurant decorated in typical Andalusian style and a bar hosting live entertainment. Kids are kept amused in their own clubhouse and playground where supervised activities take place. A dedicated golf desk arranges reservations for golfers at special discounted prices. Most of the beaches of the Costa del Sol are made up of pebbly sand but the nearest beach to the hotel is one of the only fine sandy beaches on the coast. Accessible down a staircase near to the hotel the beach is one of the best in the area with its own chiringuito (beachside restaurant). Slightly further along the coast towards the Don Carlos hotel is the only nudist beach in the region.
